This is the story of a maverick man, his sister and their childhood friend - children of a famous architect partnership awaiting the reading of the will. The characters come over as self-obsessed, shouty, fools about whom we care very little - the second half was when their fathers were first working together .. from the whispers in the auditorium it was clearly some time into the second act when most people twigged ;-) In fact the most interesting thing about the play for me was standing by the door on the way out listening to the many and varied different synopsies people gave ... you'd think they were all leaving different theatres but no, this simple story seems to get lost in its writing.
Me? I actually enjoyed it, despite the person in front using their mobile throughout and leaving to go to the loo in both acts AND talking to their partner throughout ... but the charactersjust didn't engage me .. I wan't made to care about them or about their lives. Ho hum.
