Justin Butcher's play sets the life of Jesus against modern conflicts across the Middle East with the Devil setting out to destroy this son of God only to realise he has been out manoeuvered. A long play for fringe at 90 minutes it could, perhaps have benefited from some shortening (we all know the basic stories) though Guy Masterson's direction keeps the pace up and Butcher's performance certainly has the energy required to keep us engaged. An impressive production.
