I'm not sure if they had a technical meltdown or if the Director has not sat in the audience, but Pressure Cooker is played mainly in the dark. Sometimes it's valuable to light different areas so different rooms or spaces are indicated, but not if it means half of the cast are unlit. The opening dance scene would have benefitted from music for clarity and to promote some energy. The cast play everything very slowly. There is little variation of pace to drive the action forward. Or do they not know the script well enough for speedy cue-bite? All this detracted from the story of four young doctors' dilemma when drink and drugs bring an accident to their graduation.
