An amazing piece of theatre taking us through the parts of Nye Bevan's life relevant to his determination to bring about a National Health Service. With highly creative staging and strong central performances, we are taken into a weird world of recollections, memories and events while Nye dreams and hallucinates on his death bed under the effects of pain killers. Whilst I personally found the filming of this one a bit intrusive - zooming unnecessarily and odd low lighting effects, it was still a powerful piece of theatre. Funny and moving by turns this is no dusty documentary biography but, perhaps, an insight into one of the great moments in UK politics and the people behind it.
