February will see changes in the casting at The Wizard of Oz
On February 5th, Danielle Hope will play her last performance as Dorothy wiyth the role being taken over by Sophie Evans. Sophie, who was a runner-up in the original Over the Rainbow competition, has been standing in for Danielle during holidays (and her tuesday evenings off) since the show opened last March.
February 5th will also see Michael Crawford's last performance as The Wizard with the role being taken over by Russell Grant. Russell recently shot back into public attention (and public affection) with his over-the-top performances in Strictly Come Dancing where he was partnered with Flavia Cacace who is appearing in Midnight Tango.
The new stars will be appearing with existing cast members Edward Baker-Duly (Tin Man), Martin Callaghan (Lion), Paul Keating (Scarecrow), Emily Tierney (Glinda) and Marianne Benedict (the Wicked Witch of the West).
