Lion King to tour

Disney's The Lion King is to hit the road and tour to ten cities in the UK and Ireland over the coming 30 months. To date, only the initial Bristol dates and the Christmas Manchester dates have been announced but more will follow. The tour will feature a huge company of 52 and Disney Theatrical Group president Thomas Schumacher said, in the press release, "Following years of planning, and after receiving the counsel of some very smart friends in the British theatre world, we are delighted to be launching a production that conveys Julie Taymor’s epic vision and at a moment that feels absolutely right."
