Kathy and Stella Solve a Murder

Well what a hoot. I can't hum a single tune and the plot is paper thin but this has the hallmarks of a popular short musical. Five great actors (plus pianist) deliver all the characters in this whodoneit for teh podcast generation. Lots of clever jokes in the lyrics and plenty of energy carried the audience along to a standing ovation.

When I saw this there was a technical problem with the microphones that required the show to be stopped for a while. As the pianist vamped through some show and pop tunes we hummed along ... then he hit on "Down Town" and the audience became a flash mob choir ... to be followed by a rousing "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" ... to be honest, there was some disappointment and a lot of laughter and applause when the show restarted as we were having a lot of fun.
