"I Run" is a Danish one-man play about grief, one man's grief at the loss of his eldest child, aged 6, to leukemia. Acted on a treadmill this is a really punchy and challenging piece that is delivered sensitively and with genuine credibility. By the end, I had tears running down my face, the woman next to me was sobbing, there were people in front of me in tears and the row of seats was shaking. Given the obvious impact this has on audience members I was disappointed that at the end we were only given (after calls to support the play and company or buy the script) the names of two childhood cancer charities, nothing about charaties supporting child loss or grief.
