Everyone is Dead

I'm sorry but this show really didn't work for me, on any level. I was not drawn into the characters or the story and consequently found that I was not engaged with either. I felt that the script was unsure of what it was trying to tell us and the characters had little depth and were not credibly delivered, in part because the direction seemed to lack motivation but also because the dialogue lacked variation and bite. Coming in on high emotion gives you no place to go when the story gets heavier so we end up with "more of the same". Tightened up and given some light and shade we may feel some of the jeopardy, desolation, grief and fear that such a post-apocalyptic tale should engender, but that is not what I got from the show I saw.
