We couldn't' make press night for this show but simply couldn't afford to miss it so booked tickets and made the 4 hour round trip - Creation Theatre are always worth making the effort for and this production was no exception. I have to say, what first tickeled my fancy was that they were playing the show in the basmet of Blackwell's bookshop on Broad Street in Oxford .... in the basement ... in the theology and philosophy sections ... how glorious!
This bore many of the hallmarks of a Creation Theatre production; well delivered dialogue, huge energy, stunning team work, movement you might associate with dancers rather than actors, great soundtrack and a lot of doubling (the whole thing requires only 5 actors!) ... plus some great tricks to shock and delight.
This is a show to watch and enjoy and the novelty of walking around a bookshop in the interval is just fab ... great evening, thank you
