Killing is not in the Scouts' code. Apparently that has not got through to this group. Lost in Scotland (with daring insults to the locals), a group of scouts take refuge in a deserted farmhouse. As they try to deal with their plight, they reveal more of the dynamic of the group. The actors swiftly establish and effectively maintain their characters. Just enough is given to convince that these are real individuals. Conflicts arise; then the killing begins. It all seems horribly logical. A change to red lighting allows the dead to tell us some of what happened, but the full story is left to us to decide from two alternative endings.
Their advert says “let's not get silly...”, but that's exactly the point. This is great fun and the young cast are obviously lapping (or hamming) it up. And at 35 minutes they don't outstay their welcome.
