Karaoki and line dancing. What was I thinking? What I got was amazing. Intense, driven, harsh, dance, video, confusion, promise. The Wild West setting, a metaphor for city life for those who can't break out of violence and poverty, gradually fades as the story grows. Not so much a story as a situation. The Man is the narrator who tells of his life, of the Woman the Rascal, the Boy and the Mob. Scenes are punctuated with songs and dance. It's spare but complex. There is so much to take in, I'm still working things out. So much negative and violent with a hint of redemption at the end. Accept the challenge and see it.
