Edinburgth Festival Fringe. Pleasance Courtyard
There is total commitment in this piece which deals with domestic violence. The initial scenes are shocking, but the play goes nowhere. The unrelenting repetition fails to increase our horror and becomes merely tedious. They start at a high level and stay there throughout. The actors are remarkable in showing such graphic acts with supreme skill and dedication. However, there is no attempt to question why such things occur and simply presenting the recurring cycle leaves the audience jaded but untouched at the end.
