Blockbuster Productions will be presenting Paul Nicholas as Crazy Max in Chinn and Chapman's Blockbuster The Musical starting at the New Alexandra Theatre in September this year. Featuring the chart-busting hits of the legendary song-writing team Nicky Chinn and Mike Chapman, who dominated the pop world in the '70s and '80s, has a book by David Soames who co-wrote the musical Time for Cliff Richard, that ran for two years in the West End at the Dominion theatre.

It's 2014 and Mickey Block, a young busker singing in London’s Soho, is being pursued by a loan shark and takes refuge in Crazy Max’s Retro Record Shop. Soon, Max, a mystical figure, discovers Mickey's problems and tells him he can turn his life around by performing two selfless deeds within seven days. Before he knows it he finds himself back in 1975. Luckily he is befriended by Carol, Steve and Teresa. However, problems arise when Steve tells Mickey that he is about to be arrested for selling stolen cameras and Teresa is seriously injured in an Anti-Vietnam demonstration. Mickey now realises his fate; can he help Teresa, the girl he loves, pull through and out of her coma? Can he help Steve and stop the police arresting him? Mickey then remembers Max's words of "Two Good Deeds"...Will Mickey fulfil his destiny and turn his life around or will time run out and he'll find himself back unchanged in 2014?
