A Grimm Beginning

This play takes the idea of continuing the Grimm fairytales and linking them with a current tale of siblings rediscovering their family love through grief. This is worthy but dull. It lacks a spark. The performances are competent but flat - where was their enthusiasm, their fire? It shares many ideas with “Into the Woods”, but lacks the wit and the fun. Sondheim did it so much better.
