The travelling medicine show of the Old West brought colour and excitement to the inhabitants of far-flung towns and villages. The troupes singers, dancers, musicians and comedians, all introduced by a charismatic personality who was part showman, part salesman and part faith healer. The medicine shows were great entertainment, coupled with the chance to buy a remedy guaranteed to cure all ills. The All Star Medicine Show will feature a mixture of frontier ballads, blues gospel, good-time music and boogie woogie, with anecdotes about the legendary outlaws and events which shaped the Old West.
