Dewsbury Arts Centre (DAG) archive listings (2001)
The Centre is the home of Millennium Stage Productions, who are developing it in line with Kirklees Council into a community theatre centre. Formally a Methodist Chapel built in 1864, it was then converted to its present use as a theatre. It has a flat stage with wooden floor, proscenium arch with apron, and is complimented by a comfortable 176 seat auditorium, with a coffee lounge on the lower floor. It has a large car park, which is sign posted, and can be used for all types of community events, amateur theatrical productions, meetings etc.
