Quintessence archiveDevised and directed by Ann Wessen, with creative and inspirational input from John Morgan and Allen Miller and Musical Director Len Morris, Quintessence marks the start of The Playhouse Company's fiftieth season and is a celebration of theatre in its most popular forms involving extracts from musicals and plays, combined with familiar songs, music-hall and even a touch of melodrama thrown in for good measure. Presented in two acts, this Gala Performance boasts musical gems from Kiss Me Kate, Chicago, Blood Brothers and The Boyfriend as well as excerpts from such authors as Harold Pinter, Willy Russell and Shakespeare. This promises to be a truly wonderful evening of theatrical entertainment, so book early to avoid disappointment.
