Stretch your ideas of gender to the max at Duckie's variety show line-up featuring Pink Suits, D'relle West and Rodent DeCay. This pop and performance parade is mixed by DJs Readers Wifes, and MCed by guest host Azara with live performances from 7.30pm. Break-dancer, lyrical waxer and Duckie associate artist Azara takes time out from her touring solo show Just Another Day and Night to bring us this summertime special. The pre-eminent Readers Daughter, 1-800-MIX-TAPE, is actually a soul boy DJ, but we don't hold this against him. Uber-kweer and genderbent, Pink Suits recreate seminal dance moments from old Kate Bush videos and outtakes from the film Dirty Dancing. A ballroom pioneer with 14 years' experience on the scene, D'relle West's vogueing will give you life. He's worked with stars from Madonna to will.i.am and has appeared on Channel 4, Sky and MTV. Rodent DeCay is East London's very own queen of the underworld, terrifying audiences at venues from The Glory to Sink the Pink and destroying the competition at The Glory's cult lipsyncing competition LIPSYNC1000 along the way. As Duckie DJs-in-residence at Royal Vauxhall Tavern for the past 24 years, Readers Wifes are not even tired yet and could drink you under the table. Despite being from good homes, they struggle with attitude problems, but they are doing their best. They finish the night at 1am.
