Get to the heart of South Asian Classical arts in the informal intimate space of the studio. You are so close to the artists that there is no way escaping the raw emotion, bittersweet despair, sweat and hypnotic rhythms as they explore the core of rasa and sum. the basement sessions is a project for British South Asian artists to have opportunity to perform without the pressures of a concert, in and informal settings where they can reach the core of performance. All performances will be accompanied by live musicians.
