Details

Sabha, meaning meeting is sampad's popular monthly showcase for local and emerging talent, which includes performances in music, dance, drama and literature. In sampad's May Sabha, Peter Chand, an Indian storyteller, performs Mangoes on the Beach - a story based on his parents' journey from India to Britain in the 1950s woven with four traditional Indian folk stories. This performance is the result of a commission Peter won for work to be performed at the Festival at the Edge, International storytelling festival.
