Musical Showcase - Dreamweaver/Anya

Musical Showcase

Work:: Musical Showcase (S0136621101)

Production:: Dreamweaver/Anya (T01264759272)

The Dreamweaver is the story of a young theatre group in present day Ireland staging a version of Orpheus in the Underworld. This is interwoven with the ancient legend of Ossian a blind harpist in mythical Ireland. Anya is based on a true story set partly in Stalin's Russia and partly in America. It is the story of a blighted love affair between a Russian singer and an American naval officer whose lives are split apart by the Cold War - and a young girl's desperate search to find the father she never knew.

CORONAVIRUS: All venues in the UK were shut down on March 16, 2020, and the restrictions were finally lifted on July 19, 2021. It is important to mention that the UK Theatre Web archive listings (iUKTDb) from March 2020 to July 2021 might not be accurate due to the lack of information regarding rescheduled and cancelled shows.
