It's a Puppet Life

It's a Puppet Life

Work:: It's a Puppet Life (S266907176)

Sketch comedy "unlike anything else on the circuit"(Late night Gimp Fight). Life through the lens of puppets on the street, puppets in the bedroom and puppets just about everywhere. Stickyback return with yet another "beguilingly bizarre" (The Stage) slice of "blisteringly funny, visually engaging theatre"! (Three Weeks)

Production:: (T01705079543)

Stickyback Theatre is a theatre company focusing on exploration, aiming to find original forms within their puppetry-based theatre practice. Combining a wicked sense of humour and an imaginative approach, Stickyback want to create theatre that takes on its own mind, that trusts in the personal narratives of the characters we create and never gives up on imagination and play - we believe it's beautiful to be different, that you needn't view the world through rosy-tinted spectacles and that nothing is impossible. Stickyback Theatre shows are wholly original, combining new scripts, hand-made puppets (from the carefully constructed to the wilfully thrown together) and a childish sense of wonder and enthusiasm. Our work is often comic and rarely restrained.

CORONAVIRUS: All venues in the UK were shut down on March 16, 2020, and the restrictions were finally lifted on July 19, 2021. It is important to mention that the UK Theatre Web archive listings (iUKTDb) from March 2020 to July 2021 might not be accurate due to the lack of information regarding rescheduled and cancelled shows.
