A collaboration between artist Plumridge and People Show designer/maker and divisor Pimlott exploring our relationship with birds. Being a Bird follows the emotional journey of this prehistoric looking but domestic creature as it encounters aspects of its half-forgotten nature. Amidst a cacophony of beaks and legs, brightly coloured love bird's search longingly for each other. The show casts a birds eye view on our relationship with nature and explores some of the emotive images that birds conjure up in the human psyche. With a rich and haunting score, this is a piece of visually compelling theatrical animation, using puppets of all descriptions.
