Asep Sunandar Sunarya's skilful manipulation of elaborately carved and decorated puppets brings characters from the Mahabarata and traditional Javanese tales to life. Sometimes raucous, always dynamic and with scenes of extreme beauty and delicacy, this is captivating storytelling from a master puppeteer.
