Half the royalties from the sale of Myra's book will be given to the Helen Rollason Cancer Care Centre Appeal charity as will proceeds from the sale of merchandise at this event. Poet Myra Schneider was diagnosed with breast cancer in February 2000 and turned to her writing to help her come to terms with the experience. In this evening of poetry and prose, Myra will share her frank exploration of the intense emotions that living with cancer can cause but also provide an uplifting first-hand account of life with cancer and advice about writing as therapy.
