WORDCUP2010 is the only nationwide live spoken word competition that celebrates new spoken word talent. Heats led by some of Eng-er-land’s best spoken word performers, mentors, producers and poetry organisations take place in nine regions of the country, where teams of young people “managed” by some of the most exciting names on the scene will compose poems on the theme "I am free to write" to be performed in front of a panel of judges who will score them on writing and delivery. The finest from each region will compete in a national WORDCUP Final at Contact, Manchester in a weekend that also sees The Manager’s Match, where the teams get to see their esteemed coaches in action. A national competition celebrating new spoken word talent 9 cities. 9 teams. One cup.
