Tongue Fu - The Last Word. Feat. Salena Godden, Tim Clare & Vanessa Kisuule

Tongue Fu

Work:: Tongue Fu (S0815629550)

A night of the finest spoken word artists from the UK and beyond in a heady mix of poetry and live music

Production:: The Last Word. Feat. Salena Godden, Tim Clare & Vanessa Kisuule (T0672023583)

Hosted by Chris Redmond, Tongue Fu is one of London's liveliest and best attended spoken word nights. Poets performing with an off-the-cuff musical backing from the brilliant Tongue Fu band, it's a riotous experiment in poetry, music and improvisation; frequently surprising, sometimes hilarious, often poignant and always unrehearsed. Salena Godden is a legend in spoken word; witty, intelligent, moving and entirely original. Tim Clare is a hilariously funny award-winning poet and author, and Vanessa Kisuule is a brilliant, multiple-slam winner. Tongue Fu is a wild, playful, poetry party, where no one knows quite what will happen until it happens, which is just how a party should be.

CORONAVIRUS: All venues in the UK were shut down on March 16, 2020, and the restrictions were finally lifted on July 19, 2021. It is important to mention that the UK Theatre Web archive listings (iUKTDb) from March 2020 to July 2021 might not be accurate due to the lack of information regarding rescheduled and cancelled shows.
