Yellow Sun archiveIn a world ruled by conformity, freedom of movement and thought is an intolerably ugly extravagance. Sin Cru presents Yellow Sun, a story about acceptance in this regimented land. Twisted uncomfortably in the midst of a strict routine, a boy is observed stepping off beat and experimenting with movement not allocated. The boundaries of reality are blurred as conversations between live performance and projected video unravel a tale of individual discovery. There is also a Freak Show in town who are using guerrilla tactics to recruit... Will you be brainwashed by TV adverts for the ideal life, or risk chaos by celebrating difference with the Freak Show? Combining the strengths of JNR Sinstars and friends, Sinstars and the flawless Deadly Sins the narrative powerfully combines Hiphop dance and Breakin' to the prolific delights of rap, turntablism and song. Yellow Sun makes suitable and enjoyable viewing for ages 8yrs and up.
