Woman of Flowers

Work:: Woman of Flowers (S628323791)

Based on the ancient Mabinogi legend of Blodeuwedd, Sion Eirian skilfully combines Saunders Lewis's Welsh language verse drama of the same name with original material to create a new version of this ancient tale of love, betrayal and retribution for a 21st century audience.
Author Sion Eirian (after Saunders Lewis)

Production:: (T0102518940)

Theatr Pena's first co-production with Taliesin Arts Centre is WOMAN OF FLOWERS, a specially commissioned new play by the award-winning Welsh writer Sion Eirian. Theatr Pena's dynamic production of this strikingly poetic reimagining of the ancient myth of the woman created from wild flowers offers audiences the opportunity to experience something of the earliest prose literature of Britain, the poetry of Saunders Lewis and the craft of a contemporary Welsh dramatist.
