1945, a train platform, a wife waits for her husband to return from the front. The train arrives but Stanley doesn t appear. Her anxious imaginings of what might have happened are intercut with flashbacks of her own war experiences. Clowning and puppetry combine to tell this touching story in a warm and often funny way.
