When the Birmingham Hippodrome first opened as a circus in 1899 it was known as the Tower of Varieties. In the new show Tower is the nick-name of the theatre's resident cat and features a talented cast of local actors and musicians. Tower will be accompanied by a special pack, sponsored by Central Television supporting teachers in using their theatre visit as the basis for school projects.
