Titus Andronicus - An All-female Production

Titus Andronicus

Work:: Titus Andronicus (S5298)

Returning to Rome from a war against the Goths, the general Titus Andronicus brings with him the queen Tamora and her three sons as prisoners of war. Titus' sacrifice of Tamora's eldest son to appease the ghosts of his dead sons, and his decision to refuse to accept the title of emperor, initiates a terrible cycle of mutilation, rape and murder. And all the while, at the centre of the nightmare, there moves the villainous, self-delighting Aaron.
Author Shakespeare

Production:: An All-female Production (T1378295779)

Following their smash hit tour Smooth Faced Gentlemen, the UK's only all-female Shakespeare troupe and the latest company to join us as Supported Artists, bring their critically acclaimed theatrical rebellion to Greenwich. A stripped-down, ramped-up, vibrant and visceral retelling of Shakespeare's cruelly underestimated tragedy of blind revenge and severed bloodlines, reimagined with style, wit, and gallons of bright red paint.
