1656. A peaceful England is still coming to terms with its freedom from the Monarchy after the bitter ravages of revolution and civil war. A picnic in the woods is the very unparliamentary setting for a meeting between two key revolutionaries: the blind poet, John Milton and long term friend Oliver Cromwell. When they're interrupted by a ranting wild man, a heated debate arises between those in power with jaded aspirations and those who sit on the sidelines with their perfect ideologies.
