Three Sisters

Three Sisters

Work:: Three Sisters (S0683569265)

Colonial Trinidad 1941. Three sisters live a privileged life in Port of Spain occupying themselves with empty marriages and indiscreet liaisons. Their dream is to return home to their adopted country, England, where they spent their cosmopolitan youth. But their ambitions of emigrating to Britain crumble as the second World War escalates and the Trinidadian army is called upon to serve King, Country and Empire. Chekhov s Three Sisters has been adapted by one of the most prolific and lyrical African-Caribbean playwrights of our time. Mustapha Matura has won numerous awards for his plays that include Playboy of the West Indies and As Time Goes By.
Author Mustapha Matura (after Chekhov)
