Three Months Gone archiveThree Months Gone is the third play in Donald Howarth's trilogy about the character Anna Bowers, played in the original production by Diana Dors. It opened at the Royal Court in January 1970 and had transferred to the West End by March. 'More often than not the characters are considering whether to keep their clothes on, loosen the buttons, take all their clothes off or just the top layer, put some clothes back on if they're not fully dressed, or take someone else's clothes off without their permission... and none of this is at bedtime, before they get up or go to the bathroom, when most people don't think about getting dressed or undressed but just do it? I don't think so'. Donald Howarth.
