Thespis archiveThe libretto has survived, but no musical score was ever published. Sullivan when questioned about this said he had saved up the tunes for other operettas; indeed those familiar with Sullivan's music will recognise many a familiar tune! A company of actors blunders into the presence of the Gods on Mount Olympus. The Olympians have fallen on hard times, and persuade the actors to take over their divine functions with comically disastrous results!
