Details

The Yam archiveVillagers of a rural northern community c.1800 weave together a patchwork of dramatic stories, sharing the curious legends, rituals and superstitions that affect their daily lives. With the coming of enclosures and the industrial age, the villagers sink deep into poverty and the tales they tell become increasingly comic and fantastical. Included tales included the show are: How the Village Was Born, The Woman Who Died Five Times and The Leaving and How the Village Died.
