The X

The X

Work:: The X (S1639685374)

R loves X... J wants R... F adores J... E longs for F... How can anyone live within the constraints of a society that can at best misunderstand them, at worst, only condemn? One of the first plays to depict lesbianism on Broadway, Edouard Bourdet's La Prisonniere ignited a scandal in 1927, prompting new laws against obscenity and the arrest of the entire company.
