The Wrong Man archiveBorn in Belfast in 1953, Danny Morrison joined the IRA in his teens and worked as the Publicity Director for Sinn Fein for eleven years. His tenure ended with his arrest in 1990 in connection with the abduction of an IRA informer he had never met. Based on the experienced view of a senior figure in the organisation, The Wrong Man charts the fear and paranoia caused by the knowledge of an informer at work. Why would the main suspect betray his comrades and risk execution? Has the IRA got it wrong? This intimate, dark production mirrors the claustrophobia of a conflict situation exposing the betrayal, loyalty and, above all, the humanity of those involved.
