The Twelfth Battle of Isonzo archiveA young blind woman awaits the arrival of the old blind man to whom she is betrothed. "What is bride but the apotheosis of delay...?" On appearing he initiates a duel of deception stretching the pleasures of anticipation to their breaking point. An archaeology of strategy, evasion, refuge, the artificialities of desire and agonised devotion, wound more tightly than a spring. This is a pas de deux at the melting point of surface and depth. parody is reverence for the irrational, and underwear becomes a poem. "Our passion was never susceptible to truth..." Contains explicit scenes and strong language.
