August, a devoted husband and Josephine, his beautiful, beloved wife dream of a better life but struggle to grasp the reality of their existence. When August manages to get a job, Josephine dissolves into fear and paranoia with only her thoughts for company. Based on the delicacies of marriage and told through absurd comedy and bouffon styles, this heart-warming tale hints at by-gone days of Vaudeville.
