A great Scottish exodus has sent many across the seas to seek their fortune in the furthest reaches of what was once the British Empire. Tom Gallacher places just such a family at the heart of his stunning new play and brings their story right up to date. Two generations ago the Murrays landed in Nova Scotia with nothing but a willingness to work and a will to succeed. Now they have become a prosperous dynasty but find themselves riven by old resentments and new ambitions.
