The Shadow of a Boy - On Earth

The Shadow of a Boy

Work:: The Shadow of a Boy (S942055377)

A moving and original story about a small boy's life in rural Wales and his friend from Outer Space, from the writer of Crazy Gary's Mobile Disco and Ghost City. Set in the early 1980s, sci-fi fanatic Luke is about to start at the big comp. Taunted by his friend Katie, who warns him of the bullying he'll suffer at the comp, Luke finds refuge in his alter-ego, Shadow. Looked after by his Nanna from an early age after the death of his parents, Luke's subconscious invents Shadow, sent from outer space to report back to the Star Council on whether Earth is fit to join the 'Galactic League of Civilisations'.
