The Second Word From The Story Of The Cage - Merge Festival archive

A site-specific work in a dis-used air raid shelter beneath the listed Almshouses in Hopton Gardens, SE1. "The Second Word from the Story of the Cage" is the story of the selfishness of gender, race and class, who will go to war with each other for their own ends. This work is a collaboration between Meet Alice and Iranian director Cyrus G Seif. After two successful sell-out runs, the first on a canal boat, and the second in the Old Vic Tunnels, Meet Alice has now been commissioned to create a piece of work in a disused WWII air raid shelter beneath picturesque Almshouses for Merge Festival.
