Inspired by Ilya Repin s painting ?They did not expect him , in which a man returns home from a concentration camp and almost no-one welcomes him, Ioli Andreadi and the cast devised The Return of the Exile. With the help of a soundscape and live drawing on stage by the set designer, the actors describe the absence of a contemporary exile and his difficult, dangerous and problematic return.
