The Plumbing

Work:: The Plumbing (S0815556471)

Vera knows too much about sex. Will doesn't know enough. Two lifelong friends share their weird, wonderful and downright ridiculous sexual experiences over a cuppa or two. This raucous comedy ultimately asks us - how much do we really learn growing up? The Plumbing is a raunchy play which explores sex, sexuality and gender from the different perspectives of two very different friends, Vera and Will. They share their weird and wonderful sexual experiences over the course of the play resulting in lots of laughs, and a few home-truths. Through the play's ridiculous, comical and touching stories, The Plumbing fundamentally comments on how a lack of proper sex education does not account for dealing with relationships, consent or the emotional complications of sex. This being the case for most UK teenagers and young adults, The Plumbing is a comedy which is as absurdly funny as it is starkly relatable.
