The Pleasure Man archiveFemale impersonators and dog acts, comics, hoofers and chorus girls - a 24 hour slice of backstage life at a vaudeville theatre in the Midwest. The Pleasure Man opened on Broadway in 1928. During the interval of the second performance the police raided the theatre. The play never reopened. It now returns to the public stage.
