Details

The People of the Town archiveAntoine and Jean-Paul are French theatre directors workshopping a production of 'The People of The Town' - a lost 18thc classic. The actors attending try to leave their own personal dramas at the door but Antoine's methods are strangely penetrating. Both clashes and catharsis result as actors in a room become The People of The Town, and in Antoine (as in Osborne's 'The Entertainer') the psyche of an artist in pain is explored. A black surreal comedy drama.
