The Normal Heart

The Normal Heart

Work:: The Normal Heart (S4382)

The first AIDS play (1986). Set in New York in the early 1980's, this powerful, passionate and controversial play was the first to treat seriously the poignant and awesome subject of AIDS. It follows a writer's struggle to break through indifference and hypocrisy surrounding the killer disease and his attempt to draw attention to the plight of gay community in contemporary America.
